Gratitude

Gratitude is a very big deal to me. When things get crazy and I am stressed out I go through a long list of things that I am grateful for. The list seems to get longer all the time. By the time I run out of things to put down it is wild how much better I feel and how less funky life seems to be. My head is clearer and I am able to sort things out. The answers come much easier. It is truly amazing how God works. Thank you Lord.

Prayer Requests

One of the many gifts that the Lord has blessed me with is prayer, especially intercessory prayer. That being said any and all that may come by this space and have a need please leave a prayer request as a comment or you can e-mail it to me at dhd9@cox.net and I will pray for you. If you feel lead then in the way of reciprocity please pray that financing become available for a very deserving film project of friend of mine. An amazing movie with a message if you will. Thanks for the opportunity to serve you!

Focus

I love this. Focus on the four small dots in the center of the image to the left and count to 15. Then close your eyes and focus on that image.

While it is not my intent here to use this page for advertising there are some things that just need to be brought to light. Because we don't know what we don't, if you know what I mean.

That being said, if you ever have a need for photography services you have to look into Dawn Gregg's work. Her blog can be reached by clicking the link here http://www.dawngreggphotography.blogspot.com or at the right. Her work is amazing and extremely reasonable. So whether it is for family, friends or even commercial use check it out!

Starters

So I thought I would give this a shot. Just as a place to note people, events and thoughts that seem important. Thus the heading. To me God Shots are those events, glimpses, inspirations and situations that are undeniably from or of God.
I have never really been good at journaling; but, have heard it is a good thing to do. Maybe this is the next best thing. I have no idea what I am doing so whoever views this and has ideas I am wide open. Significant thanks goes to Mrs. Dawn Gregg for motivation, basic ideas for formatting, getting me this far and especially with the installation of the Play List.
To me the music is the best part. Music is really important to me. As crazy as it sounds sometimes I think Jesus speaks to me through music. While there are a ton of things I would change about my childhood if I could; my big wish is that I had mastered an instrument. The Lord has provided me with an amazing outlet to experience music as he has provided me with a wonderful friend, Mrs. Kim Larson, who is a Worship Leader at my home church (Scottsdale Bible, there is a link to the right so check it out.) that allows me to be a member of the choir. Even though I am not trained and can not read music. I am so blessed.
To kick things off the really big deals for me are 1) My relationship with God: the Father, Jesus (His Son and my Savior) and the Holy Spirit. 2) My family: my beautiful and talented wife Jane (I definitely got the better end of the deal), my son Zach (who is 21 and a great kid who just moved out of the house, signed up with the Army Reserves as a Chaplin's Assistant and is working at our church) and my daughter Bridget (she is such a blessing, keeps me laughing and sings ALL the time with an amazing voice). 3) My friends (I am gratefully blessed with many)!
So look things over and let me know your thoughts. Blessings, David

Zach and Jane at his recent graduation from Boot camp for the Army Reserves and training to become a Chaplin's Assistant. While it is not the direction I would have chosen for him he truly believes he is following what he has been called to do. I am proud of him and that he made it through Boot. Something I know I could never do, even at his age.
